Located in Lincoln Park, this project is the essence of quiet sophistication. Our fashionable client longed for a luxurious and timeless space that showcased her personal style with an emphasis on creating an oasis for her family. To achieve this directive we used many tones of her favorite color blue throughout each room. Vintage furnishings and lighting were carefully curated and the custom millwork throughout was thoughtfully designed to stand the test of time. The lacquered front door and grey and white marble flooring set the tone as soon as you enter the home. From the vintage Angelo Mangiarotti inspired entry console to the kitchen’s dramatic slab of stormy gray quartzite, each area is planned to perfection. Custom, glossy cabinetry and a large island provide ample storage and seating. The sculptural banquette adds interest and is a perfect place for the family to dine. Every area of this home became an opportunity to highlight unique style and functionality. This becomes apparent when one enters both the formal living room and family room with large scale cozy seating. A shimmery silver stair runner leads you to the second floor where one is greeted with an oversized brass mirror and velvet bench. The peaceful primary bedroom wing includes a show stopping fireplace and a spacious mirrored dressing room with ample room for their many collections. Overall, simplicity, elegance and minimalism are the common thread throughout and prove to be just the perfect place for this close family to call home.
